Made in England
We’re proud to say that all of our water softeners are made in right here in England.
From our custom-built factory in Woking, Surrey, we build and distribute more domestic water softeners than anyone else in Western Europe. We supply them across the UK, and we export many thousands of them to France, Germany, Holland and beyond.
No outsourcing
Over the last ten years or so, there’s been a tendency for companies to move their manufacturing abroad, typically to countries like China or India, where labour costs are cheaper. Many of these companies are now moving back to Britain again, as these overseas economies develop, and the workers there begin to expect better wages and conditions.
At Harvey’s, we never moved in the first place. We’re right here in England where we’ve been for 30 years, constantly improving quality, rather than cutting costs.
Quality above all
Another problem that many companies see when they move their manufacturing operations overseas is that it’s difficult to keep any eye on the quality of the work. You can see how strict we are about quality and testing in our factory tour video - that level of quality control is just not feasible with outsourced manufacturing.
