Can I use hard water for the garden when the outside tap is connected to the softened water?
Yes.
If you open the bypass valve and shut the inlet and outlet (see owner’s guide) hard water will replace the softened water in your system and flow through to your tap.
Always remember to reverse this procedure when you have finished watering the garden.
