Will your water softener work with a pressurised water system?

Harvey water softeners are designed to work well with all plumbing systems typically found in UK homes, including the newer pressurised water systems.

Most UK plumbing systems used to be known as ‘indirect with water storage tanks in the roof fed by gravity and requiring a low flow rate.

Newer plumbing systems are called ‘directwith a pressurised water tank, rather than the traditional storage tank you often see in an attic, and these require a high flow rate. These systems are often called pressurised water systems.

pressurised water tank is a cylinder that is connected directly to the mains water supply. The water is heated by gas or electricity creating pressure in the cylinder that pushes the water through your pipes providing the home with instant, pressurised hot water

Some water softeners need modifying to cater for high or low flow rates, but Harvey water softener is designed to handle both high and low flow rates with the one system, so you can move it to any house and it will work efficiently.

Our water softeners help you around the home in so many ways. Softened water can prevent limescale build-up in taps, pipes and appliances. Many people think it tastes better than hard water, and it’s much softer on skin. Contact us
