With 15 million people in the UK suffering from eczema, hard water can be a major irritant and cause of both eczema and other related skin conditions. A water softener connects to your mains water supply and provides your entire home with softened water.

Harvey Water Softeners worked with the University of Sheffield to publish a study that shows the link between hard water and eczema. The study found that hard water does ultimately make eczema worse, and that it can cause an irritable skin barrier that could cause eczema in healthy skin. This was particularly apparent in infants where washing with hard water can contribute to the early development of eczema from a very young age.

A water softener can reduce the risk of developing eczema by reducing the irritant magnesium and calcium left from washing.

3-year Warranty

Our water softeners need no maintenance except for regular salt refills, and they last between 10 and 15 years in your home before they need to be upgraded. If you come across any issues though, you’re covered in the first three years by our warranty, which includes parts and labour. We’ll offer support and troubleshooting via customer care and send a technician out to repair if it needs it.
