What is a water filter?

  • A water filter provides the clearest water for your home, on demand straight from your tap
  • Remove impurities and chemicals including chlorine, the biggest factor that determines better taste and better cooking
  • The ideal partner to a water softener and bypass tap to improve the quality of your water throughout your home

How does a water filter work?

  • A water filter works by using activated carbon, made up from natural materials like coal or coconut, to filter the water as it passes through
  • It is made in granular, powder or porous block form and then made into a cartridge for inclusion within a water filter. When water passes through the carbon, organic contaminants are adsorbed onto the high surface area
  • The difference between an inline water filter and a water filter jug is mostly convenience. A water jug uses a similar filter and requires changing monthly, where a direct water filter only needs replacing annually
