What is quality control? Everything.

Making the best possible product requires a commitment to the highest level of quality control. Small hiccups can lead to big upsets and it’s unfortunate that inferior water softener manufacturers look to cut corners on this.

It’s everything from checking parts from all suppliers right through production to packaging and delivery. One of the most important areas is goods inwards and that’s where Ben Smith comes in. After gaining an HND in Manufacturing engineering Ben completed a 2 year apprenticeship and has gained a total of 5 years experience in quality control in previous employment. He’s been with us for 6 months now:

Ben’s day to day job involves a lot of testing and measuring. Every delivery from every supplier is checked in detail. Firstly there is a visual check and this will go onto to stress testing under different pressures. Only then are parts passed for production.

“I spend a huge amount of time just checking parts as they come in. It’s only in doing this that we can make sure our water softeners work under all conditions and reliability is maintained”
