What is the difference between Reverse Osmosis and In-Line Water Filters?

Reverse osmosis filters use a membrane to remove a wider range of contaminants, including dissolved solids, while in-line filters focus on basic filtration for water taste and odour improvement. In addition both have different levels of efficiencies and service schedules due to the technologies being used.
